I successfully upgraded both the latest verison of Wordpress and more importantly my customized Wordpress theme. This was a big step up from when I purchased Semiologic from Denis Bernardy and failed miserably at trying to install it,and finally choose to avail myself of his free install offer.
Even better from my viewpoint I did it using Ubuntu7.04 and the Linux version of FTP. It happened without a hitch or least after I figured out how to open all the needed files for uploading, the upload process takes several minutes due to the all needed files, after completing one needs to upgrade ones database base which Wordpress makes almost painless. Hooray for Wordpress and Semiologic.
